Meet Our Founder
Thomas Koen has fought a long and hard battle with substance abuse. Pronounced dead on December 12, 2015, he spent 36 hours on life support. Two weeks later, he overdosed on Dilaudid for the second time.
He went into rehab and was given Kratom as he detoxed. Proving to be beneficial, the natural herbal medicine is what saved him from his demise.
Mr. Koen has now been sober since February 11, 2016. Since sobering up, it took 36 days to completely flush the drugs out of his system.
These days, however, he is on track to becoming better. On April 1 of this year, he moved to Colorado and opened SmokYFunctions as a birthday gift for himself. He turned 21 on October 18. The period between his recovery and birthday is what he says to be the longest time he has been sober since 12.
Mr. Koen’s Work Experience
Thomas Koen has a year of experience working in sales for a business-to-business (B2B) electrical distribution company. There, he handled a 10-million dollar primary account. He also has experienced supplying Mosaic with everything from vim nuts and bolts to million-dollar single-item orders. Aside from these, he took care of:
Accounts Payable and Receivable
Order Fulfillment Through Hub-Based Shipping
Handling Expedited Orders
His job with the previous employer entailed a high volume of work. This experience, along with another five years in the service industry, enabled him to develop the skills for excellent customer service.
Although our company was founded only recently, we have been working to build our business credit as quickly as possible. Currently, our founder is looking to have his debt consolidated; he plans to split personal and business expenses before filing taxes at the end of the year.
Moreover, he wants to obtain financing to focus on CMR, establish a retail location, pay for marketing campaigns, and find artists who wish to consign their products to our store. His primary plan is to collaborate with other small businesses. Furthermore, he wants to utilize custom displays to advertise on storefronts of local businesses that are offering discounts and looking for advertisement opportunities.
